...tick...tock...tick...tock

Hi folks: First of all, we are receiving your emails and appreciate the continued support. It's been a crazy journey for sure, but you will understand once you see the documentary.

The January update (below) was based on the information given to us back then, which was not accurate. We can now confirm that Shelved is close to being released. We have learned that releasing a film as a digital download is a much different and more difficult process than releasing on BLU-Ray and DVD. Lots of time is being spent on technical specs to ensure the best picture and sound quality possible. The fact that Shelved is part of a three-film release makes the process even longer.

In addition, unlike Blu-Ray/DVD releases, there is no official street date. These films can go live without notice. So, if you come across it and we haven't made the official release announcement, let us know. The major stores that will carry the film are iTunes, Amazon VOD, Hulu and Netflix. It may even show up on your cable provider's Video on Demand. Again, it can go live anytime now so keep an eye out for it.

Here is the artwork for Shelved and we will be revealing the official trailer when it goes live. Thanks again for your patience and understanding.

Weeks Away...

We mentioned a few months back that the release of 'Shelved' will be part of a Multi-Picture Digital Distribution deal, led by our company, Hourglass Pictures. The other two films (Amhurst / Return to Innocence), both from the director of "11:11," will also be released for the first time as a digital download. We have teamed up with a few distributors on this deal to get a wider release. Now that the ink is dry, here is a promo image that shows what we have been working on. Note: These films are not going to be available as a box set. They will be available for purchase/rent individually.
We will have more info in the coming weeks...

We Have A Final Cut!

We hope you like your documentaries long. 'SHELVED' has a final cut of over 2 hours. This documentary covers EVERYTHING on the entire making of "11:11." All that is left now is the music placement and then we will be set for a release date. Stay tuned...

'Shelved' Promo Clip 3

One last clip to close it out. In this clip, Myles and Darian talk about hiding subliminal 11:11's in the background of certain shots. An idea Myles had back in 2004. Before long, every member of the production crew got involved.

'Shelved' Promo Clip 2

Here is another clip from the 11:11 Documentary. In it, Darian Weiss talks about his experience in working with Jose Yenque. (note: both of these clips were uploaded at a lower-than-normal resolution, so the quality isn't the best.)

First Promo Clip from 'SHELVED'

Happy Thanksgiving!
Here is a promo clip from 'Shelved.' We might post a few more as we continue towards a final cut and release. We were hoping to get the film out this month but it's going to take a little longer. We're close though... Enjoy the clip!

No Premiere for Documentary

As we get closer to completion, there has been talk of whether or not to hold a premiere for "Shelved" and based on the focus of getting this project released as soon as possible, planning for a big event such as a premiere would just be too time-consuming. However, we have been approached by a few promoters in various cities with invites to showcase one-time exhibitions, so we might entertain these options. We have added a poll to the blog. If you would like to see a screening of the documentary in one of these cities, let us know by casting your vote.

First Look at New Documentary, 'SHELVED'

The plan is to release two "teaser" trailers. There is not expected to be a theatrical trailer. The first trailer below, secretly called Darkest Days, takes a look at some of the drama and downfall of the film. We chose to release this one first because it's edgy and more likely to attract an audience that isn't aware of '11:11.'

The second trailer, (TBA) entitled Simple Times, will give a peek into what the documentary is actually about... the Making of '11:11.'
Stay tuned...

'Rough Cut' Scenes from 11:11 to be included

'Shelved' is now three solid months into editing and everything, for the most part, is running smooth. Anyone who has made a documentary film knows how time consuming they are, so it's nice to see that things are progressing nicely. One specific element that requires a great deal of time are the selected scenes from 11:11 that will be added. These are unreleased, edited 'rough-cut' scenes that will be intertwined with the behind-the-scenes footage to give the audience a better perspective on what was being filmed. The scenes were picked by Rocky.

COSTANZO: "It's been fun revisiting these scenes, especially from the 2004 shoot. Choosing the scenes were easy, actually. I watched the recent interviews that Mary and her crew got and went by the most talked about scenes. It's definitely going to bring more to the film and I'm excited by how well it's looking."

Music Composer Remains Attached

Rob Gokee was the attached music composer for '11:11' and we're happy to report that he will remain on board to score the documentary. Rob, as some of you might remember, was also the film's Official "Twitterer" on the production set. As editing continues, Rob is starting to work on cues in search for the film's musical direction. Knowing Rob like we do, he will probably update his progress on his Twitter page.
